Allo!

Well, it's been a long time since I wrote this and now I've just spent ages writing emails so I'm a bit typed out so I'm gonna keep this briefish.
I'm sat in my room in my pants cuz my room is so hot! Classy, huh? ;)

So yeah - finished work with ImpAct for 3 weeks and arranged to go see Gareth and the people I know in Germany for the start of July.
Oh - Green Day were typically amazing by the way! Weir dthing was, found out just before we went that the doors opened at 2pm and the first support started at something like 4!!! Green Day weren't even on til 9!!! So we explored Milton Keynes for quite a while. Having done that, I wouldn't reccomend it to ANYONE!!! And our train broke down on the way out. Then our replacement train. Then our taxi back from the train station! But it was still an amazing day!

Anyway - Germany! Yes. Well - While I was in Huddersfield I spoke to Sarah and she said she was going to Germany in July too and did I wanna go together? So I said yes. Well - it being Sarah, she didn't wanna fly so was getting the coach! I thought "why not" so a 15 hour drive it was! But I realised after I got the tickets (£36 return!) that it clashed with NIN. Bummer! I'd been really looking forward to that! Thought about it long and hard and decided to go to Germany.

Ended up stopping in frankfurt at Sarah's old exchange partner's for a bit. Saw Anastacia randomly! One day, Kinga (for that was Sarah's friend's name) wanted to show us the Opera House. But when we got there, it was closed because Anastacia was doing an open-air gig outside it. Bonus! She's actually kinda cool!

Anyway - had a nice time in Frankfurt - nice city. Drunk some banana-beer! I thought it sounded gross but it's actually quite nice. Not as refreshing as beer but nice. Went to a film museum that had some of Harryhausen's puppets in it!!!

Went to Leipzig on the Thursday. Got raped on train fare! Leipzig was much as I remembered it - except it's being done up for some football cup it's hosting. UEFA cup maybe?
I was stopping in Gareth's friend's house as he said his is too small. His friends are lovely.
Leipzig has a beach! It's an artificial one by a massive lake - went there on the hottest day! Very nice.
I had much fun on Saturday night. I met lots of people I know, and we went for drinks, then, at 11, to an amazing club I've been to before. someone said it used to be an old palace! I think it also used to be either storage or smugglers caves from something I saw on the wall. It's a massive, cavernous club, well underground! It's live having a club in a series of caves. One room played pop, one room played techno/industrial/goth stuff, and one room played really cool rock and metal to rival even the mighty XLs!!! Then, at 5am, we left the club and went to Flower Power for a coupla hours - my fave bar in Leipzig! Then I got a ride back on the back of Sandra's (One of Ga's friends who I was staying with) bike! I love the drinking hours in that country!

My return journey was fine. I didn't know they could smoke on trains in Germany! Though I shouldn't be surprised - EVERYONE smokes! I slept sitting up for the most part, partly due to the fact it was more comfortable, and partly because just as I finished Harry Potter and was about to lie down on the back seat I had all to myself, a man came and, before I could get my shoes off, he was lay on the back seats and looked asleep!

I got back to my parents' at about 10:00 and found my dad in the garden. He'd just come back off his night shift so we sat and had a few beers together in the garden. It was very nice and father and son bonding and all that! I probably should feel more guilty about drinking at 10am but since I hadn't had a proper night's sleep, it wasn't actually really early, it was really LATE! So you see, it's ok!

I am not doing a lot right now but I will be busy. I'm moving back in with my folks for a month at the end of July. And out directors from Brummiewood want me to be in a short film that's filming at the end of this month. Then at the end of August, I'm moving to Huddersfield to do 5 months more TIE work for a company I just finished 3 weeks for. And then, hopefully, me and my best mate and Si are gonna travel round Asia for a few months.

So that's me!
